Rebecca Minkoff Finds Inspiration from Frida Kahlo and the Mexican Desert @ New York Fashion Week
By SENATUS News | 8 September 2013

Minkoff, a designer especially popular with younger women, has long used live music at her runway shows and for her presentation at New York Fashion Week, featured a performance by Janalle Monae. For the occasion, she partnered with American Express as part of their American Express Unstaged program, which pairs artists and makes their collaborations available through digital media.

Jeanie Syfu for Tresemmé reinterpreted Kahlo's signature braids by creating a deep side part that added an element of asymmetry to the look, with one braid on one side and two braids on the other. The texture was rough and dry, adding a matte finish to the hair
