Breguet at Frieze New York 2023

22 May 2023

From 17 to 21 May 2023, Breguet presented at Frieze New York  held at the Shed in Manhattan. This first Frieze fair of the year marks the beginning of the collaboration with the independent curator Somi Sim who is exploring the overall theme of "time".

Breguet is into its second year as Global Fair Partner for Frieze, hosting lounges at the fairs around the world. In New York, it boasts a specially created lounge where it displays not only timepieces, and the art of watchmaking, but has also included this time commissioned artworks curated by Somi Sim. The year-long agreement with Sim features curated works that reflect the perception of time.

In addition to the art and the watches on display — some of the brand’s finest new complicated and jeweled pieces — Breguet has a watchmaker and artisans present, demonstrating the making of a watch movement, and the fine artistic elements that go along with it, including guilloche, engraving, and other arts.
